Playtime!

Here are a few pictures of Ronan's playtime. Because we have hardwood throughout the house, we've had to put the play mat on a bed spread. Otherwise, it would be too hard. We regret installing the hardwood floors. What we should've done is to get wool carpet. I don't know what we're going to do when Ronan starts crawling. We may have to invest in a couple of knee pads.

Below, you can see that daddy likes the rainforest play mat as well.

Ronan is able to reach the hanging spin toy now.

A new milestone that we noticed this month is that he is starting to grasp things. Below, you can see him grabbing his blanket. Jerry thinks he's going to be a Linus (from Charlie Brown).

Here is a good profile pic of our son. If you click on the picture, you can get a closer view of his long eyelashes. He's so good-looking!

All this play has made him very tired. Nap time!

Don't regret installing the hardwood! It's beautiful and you can always buy those foam rubber mats that look like jig saw puzzle pieces to cover it up until Ronan gets more steady on his feet. Hardwood reduces the allergens that would have otherwise been trapped in the carpet fibers and especially since you have dogs too - easier to clean up the hair as it won't stick to the carpet. Besides, kids have more fun with hardwood when they're older - it's the run and slide thing :)

I agree with KayJay about the hardwoods. We went with carpet in the family room b/c it is a "family" room and I insisted our kids were going to be crawling all over it one day...well, its such a pain. We clean it constantly b/c the dogs get it all muddy and hairy and I wish we did hardwoods in there!!!!

He is so handsome! I'm jealous of his eyelashes.

Everything in your home looks like it came out of a magazine! Ronan will love the hardwood floors when he starts playing with the toys that have wheels. Also, when he starts driving his battery operated Hummer through the living room, he'll love being able to make wheelies!
